What are the entry requirements?
Entry requirements may depend on the sixth form you are applying to however there are no formal entry requirements for the course although you must meet the following criteria:
• Have an interest and basic understanding of football
• Maintain a basic level of personal fitness
• An ability to work with others in a team environment
• A willingness to learn
• Be punctual & maintain a smart appearance

Are you interested in becoming a football or sports coach?
If so, the NVQ Football Coaching programme could be the course you are looking for:
It is aimed at students with a keen interest in sport, particularly football. You will be expected to take part in projects such as setting up clubs, organizing tournaments, promoting school activities etc. Whilst the majority of the programme is practical you will be expected to build a portfolio of evidence and complete a range of tasks to demonstrate evidence for your qualification.

Do I need to buy uniform for the course?
Yes, during your interview you will be given an order form to be completed and returned before the start of the course.
How is the course delivered?
A high percentage of the course is practical based however there will be a
theory element due to the portfolio building for the NVQ and Award in
Coaching Studies qualifications.
